Even though the response had been so gfinorous already, however, he hoped that r.o player would put the sport before his paramount duty, and, when he felt the call, would "play the ?»rae" to his country as his comrades had done. A member of the out-going committee (Mr E. H. Albert) had been appointed on officer and was now on Ui3 way to the front. The report and balano»-sheet were »dopted. Officers wore elected as follow:—Patron, jjs Excellency the Governor; president, Mr H. S. J. Goodman; vice-presidonts, presidents of affiliated associations, ex officio; honorary secretary, Mr George S. Cowper; sonorary treasurer, Mr Browning; committee, Messrs G. W. Ford, W. E. Rogers, it. P. Granger, F. C. Atkinson, D. Sri<, A. Duncan; honorary auditor, Mr A. Stewart. , , . Mr W. Simpson (Waikato) moved that the incoming committee, should be recommended to offer the New Zealand Ladies' _ Hockey Association its assistance in running the proposed ladies' tournament to he held m Christchurch. ~,,,, , i Several sneakers considered that the duty of "assisting the ladies' tournament, came mora particularly in the r-oope of the Canterbury Hockey Association rather than tnat of the New Zealand Association. The motion was rejected, member? ccpressinff their best wishes for too success of the tournament and pledging themselves to resist in every vc-ssiblo manner m ft capacity#
