ZEPPELIN RAID.
ON THAMES ESTUARY. The High Commissioner reports: — LONDON, April 27. A Zeppelin raid was mado on the • Thames Estuary on Tuesday. There were no casualties. "MOST SERIOUS." AMERICA AND GERMANY. " Times " and Sydney " Sun " Services. (Received April 28, 9 a.m.} LONDON, April 27. The Gorman-American situation ia uncertain. Tho German pttblio is affronted by tho directness and outspokenness revealed by the full test of tho Note, and is regarding it as hos- ■ tile and' bellicose. The Vienna Press agrees that tho situation is most' serious, but asserts that Austria will not renounce tho practice of torpedoing vessels in the Mediterranean. The Austrian Government is in constant touch with Berlin regarding the answer, and a breach with America by G-erniany would immediately bo followed by Austria, and probably by Turkey and Bulgaria.
