ALLEGED FORGERY.
CASE OF CONSTANCE MOON. REMANDED FOR EIGHT DAYS. Constance Moon-, who was a dork in the Christchurch Tourist Office during her father's occupancy of the agency, appeared before 'Mr H. » • Bishop, S.M., to-dav, on remand from Dunedin, charged that — On or about May 10, at Christchurch, she did make a false document, in that she did alter an emry in a bank pass-book from £l3 to £lls, knowing it to be false, with the intention that it should be acted on as genuine, and did thereby commit the crime of forgery. The accused had to be assisted into the dock. Chief-Detective Herbert. asked for a remand till January 21 to prepare the case and obtain witnesses from a distance. Mr Alpers, who appeared for the accused, offered no objection. " Remanded till to-morrow week," said the Magistrate. " The same bail" (self in £IOO and two sureties of £SO).
