QUEEN CARNIVAL.

LAND AGENTS' SECTION. A meeting of the Land Agents' _section of the Queen Carnival Committee was held at the Caledonian Hall last evening. Mr P. L. Davies occupied the chair. Mr T. W. West (Messrs Ford and iladiirld). Mr J. IT. Saunders (Domin- | ion Home Builders) and the honorary treasurer (Mr 11. W. Heslop) were elected to the Ways and Means Committee. The treasurer repoited that Mr 0. T. J. Alpers had kindly consented to to act asauctioueer at the concert and sale 10 be arranged by the section at■_ Sumner on January 22. Several entirely novel means of raising money were suggested and discussed? the Way* and "Means Committee being instructed to arrange details and report to the general meeting on Tuesday next.
