Officials— The Allies inflicted a reverse on the enemy northward of Ypres, carried several trenches before Hebas, and secured possession of part of, Steenstraata, westward of»tho canal, and a bridge over the canal. We captured three machine guns and took fifty prisoners. We progressed northward of Arras. Our attack was outflanked at a sugar refinery in Souchez on the north; w© therefore approached it from the west We repulsed a counter-attack on the southern slopes of Notre Dame do Lorette. We continued oW conquest of Neuvillo St Vaast, and earned several groups of houses.
