Is OJd, night shift Is l£d; permanent-way men, Is 2dj track cleaners, Is Id; track cleaner driver, Is 2d; power-house firemen and greasers, Is 2d; all other workers, Is Id.. Motormon and conductors shall bo provided not less than 96 hours' work jii each fortnight, averaging eight hours for twelve days, but the Board can call on men for the other two clays, provided that not less than seven hours' work is given on any one day, and that overtime is paid for work in excess of nine hours in one day. If men are Called on for duty on Sundays or day off, and are not required, two hours must be allowed. The Court has reserved _to itself the right to review the- clause at the expiration of six months on the application of the board or the union. Firemen and greasers—day shift, S hours per day; afternoon shift, 7 hours per day; night shift, 9 hours per day. The shifts must be rotated each week. Overhead repairers, permanent-way men, horse drivers, track cleaners, and car-shed day shift, SJ hours on live days in each week and 4-J hours in one. Overhead emergency men—day shift. : —9 hours on five days in each week and 7 hours on one; night shift: nine hours on five days and 11 hours on one. Car-shed night shift—B hours for night. Overtime.—Motormen and conductors arc to bo paid timo aaid a half for all timo worked in excess of nine hours and for all time work on Sundays ; double-time on Christmas Day and Good Friday and for all timo when brought on before S a.m. for "wet weather" or "picnic" specials after finishing a shift after 10 p.m. on the previous day. Other employees are to bo paid time and a quarter for overtime during the first two hours and timo and a half afterwards; Sundays at time and a half and double time on Christmas Day and Good Friday. A schedule of time allowances for motormen and condtictors joining and leaving cars has been made. Motormon and conductors aro allowed tho following annual holidays on full ordinary pay:— Ono to three years' service, eight days, three to five years, nine days; five to seven years, ten days; over seven years, twelve days. All other employees with over ono year's continuous service are to receive eight holidays .on full pay during the year. It is provided that in broken shifts eight hours' work must be completed within twelve hours, though on ono day in. each week it may extend to within thirteen hours. Not more than twenty men are to be placed on the spare list. All employees required to wear uniforms are to be supplied' with them by the board. In a, memorandum to the award, the Court states that the board's proposals for the most part had.been embodied, in the award. Slight increases of wages had been made in some branches of the service.
