BARN ABLAZE.
WORKER BURNED TO DEATH [Per Press Association.] AUCKLAND. Maid) 9. While threshing was proceeding on "W. A. M'Kay's property, at Waiuku, some straw caught lire and tho flames swept into a ba.rn. where mj s r> were at work. Duncan M'Kay. aged seventy-two .years, and another man were on the scaffold, stowing hay, and the flames enveloped the hay so quickly that M'Kay was unable to esoapo and was burned to death. The other man escaped with some burns.
