EMPLOYER'S FEDERATION.
MEETING OF THE EXECUTIVE. [Per PaEss Association.] WELLINGTON, January 7. At a meeting ot the executive of the New Zealand Employers' Federation today delegates were present representing the Auckland. Hawke s .Bay> Tarn, naki, Wangauui, Feilding, Ma.na.watu Wairarapa. Wellington. ('anterbury and Otago Employers* Associations. The New' Zealand' Federated Builders and Contractors' Association, the New Zealand Boot Manufacturers' Association, the New Zealand Sheepowners' Federation. the New Zealand Gas Companies' Association and the New Zealand Shipowners' Federation were also represented. Nine candidates we re _ suggested for the position of employers' representative mi the Arbitration Court, and after bring balloted for until the two most favoured for the position wero found it was unanimously decided to recommend the industrial unions of employers to nominate Mr E. 1 1 . Duthie for the position. A resolution was unanimously adopted placing on record appreciation of the most valuable services rendered to 111e Dominion by Mr W. Scott as em plovers' representative on the Court of Arbitration and expressing regret that circumstances had required his with-, drawal from a position of honour au.i responsibility, which he had filled with such exceptional ability.
