WAR COINCIDENCES.

Some remarkable coincidences have been recorded in connection with the war. A married couple living at Ayercynon. in South Wales, went to Swansea with the idea of providing a home for one of the orphan children who are among the thousands of refugees who have arrived in England from the stricken land of Belgium. They found there a little girl and her brother, whoso parents had perished at _the hands of the Germans. They decided to adopt both the children, and the wife on undressing the little girl at night found in a locket which the child was wearing a portrait of her mother. By this portrait the woman discovered that the orphans were her niece and nephew, for the children's mother was her only sister, who had gone to Belgium years ago as a governess. Tn the "lapse of years the sisters had lost sight of one another. Among the batch of wounded British soldiers "lent to a military hospital at Cardiff are two brothers who, previous to being placed in adjoining beds, had not seen one another for .sixteen years. One is Martin Gaffev. of the '2nd Leinstor Regiment, and the other John Gaffey. of the Ist Con naught Bangers. Martin is wounded in the richt arm and John in the left arm.
