STEAMER'S STRANDING.

MAGISTERIAL INQUIRY. [Teb Pkesb Association.] NAPIER, December 22. The Magisterial inquiry into the stranding of the Koutounui at Orete Point found that the course set by the mate was too fine, and' that the captain committed an error of judgment in not putting to sea instead of continuing her voyage. The Court found that all had behaved with skill and courage, and in view of this deoidted that neither officers' certificates be dealt with, the captain, to pay £6 16s 6d, costs of the inquiry.
