During the debate on the Commonwealth, Bank 811, an uproar occurred in the House of Representatives.
The Speaker named Mr Joseph Cook, and the whole Oppositionists left the Chamber.
Mr Cook was suspended until he .apologised. In the absence of the Opposition the Bills were rushed through. The Senate has passed Bills authorising the issue of Treasury bills, sanctioning an eighteen million loan, tho raising and expending of two million to construct a;railway from Kalgoorlie to Port Augusta, and the War Pensions Bill.
Mr Pearce stated that close upon 20,000 troops had been despatched at a cost of £233,000 during the first year.
