VESSELS SUNK AT ANTWERP.
_ "What can be regarded as an official list of the vessels sunk at Antwerp wheu the Germans captured that city has reached Sydney ._ The list gives no material facts, but is as follows: — Steamers—Almeria, Andrew Rickmers, Atto, Beliona, Christine Sell, Croatia, Delia, Delos, Elbing, Elisabeth Rickmers, Erika, Feronia, Ganelon, Gneisnau, lianau, Hermes, Hispania., Huberfels, Jade, Kahiope, Kaudeiels, Lesbos, Lipsos, Portiinao, Santa Fe, bchildturm, Sines, Sirius, Tasmania, Totines, Qi-oiila and Wartburg. Schooner—Columbus. Barque.—Perim. SOME OF THE LINERS. This list includes some notable ships of the German mercantile marine. Ilie Almeria, for instance, is a ilainburgAmerican Line vessel, while the Eibuig, iianau and Tasmania belong to the Germau-Auotraiian Lme. Two of the ships—the Atto (5109 tons) and the Geuaion (ao8U) tons) —belong to the Roland Line. 'ihe Gueiseuau (8186 tons), of the Nord'deutscher-Lioyd fleet, is the largest vessel of the group. The Huoerfels (.6814 tons), the IvandelfeL. (5739 tons), the Schildturm (5107 tons), and the Wartburg 4295 tons) are Hansa liners. The Santa Fe (5342 tons) flew the nag of the Hamburg-South American Line. The Totmes (7130 tons) was launched this year for the Kosmos Line. GREAT DESTRUCTION OF STEAMERS. A Belgian war correspondent who was in Antwerp during the siege writes to the " Nieuwe Rotterdamsche Courant" that, before the retreat, engineers were placed ou board the German ships in harbour, and their engine rooms were totally destroyed by dynamite explosions. The German cargoes were also destroyed. A telegram from Bremen, received at Amsterdam, states that among the German steamers which were sunk in the port of Antwerp before the fail of the town were fourteen of Bremen.registry, these including seven owned by the Neptuu Company, two by the Roland Line, one Norddeut-.cher-Lloyd boat, and four of the Hansa Company's boats. Tiiirtecu other steamers were of Hamburg registry. These included oue owned by tho Hamburg-American Line, two by the Rickmers Company, three by the Levant Liue, four by the American-Australian Steamship Company, one by the Hamburg-South American Line, and two by the Oldenburg Portuguese Company. Three other steamers destroyed were registered at Stettin, and two at Fleusburg.
