HARBOUR COLLISION.
« — : „ STEAMER RUNS DOWN KETCH. [Per Peess Association.] AUCKLAND, December 17. A collision occurred in the Ponui passage in the Hauraki Gulf last night between the Northern Steamship Company's Wakatere and the ketch Katie S., twenty tons, owned by James Smith and Co. The ketch was beached on Ponui Island in a sinking condition. The crew landed safely. The Wakatere was not damaged. /
