(Before his Honor Mr Justice Dennistoil.) The criminal sessions of the Supremo Court were continued to-<3ay before his Honor Mr Justice I>OTiiistou. Mr S. G. Raymond, K.C., appeared for tho Crown. THREE YEARS' PROBATION. Richard Moove Sargent (Mr J. J. Dongall) appeared for sentence for arson, Slaving been remanded from tho previous day. His Honor said that tho prisoner hud been represented as a silly man. hut a silly man could become dangerous. He would have preferred to hnvo given Sargent two years' reformative treatment, but he had listened to the representations made to him and would allow tho prisoner to he looked after by his friends. His Honor addressed some words of advico to tho prisoner, and admitted him to three years' probation.
