GERMAN LINERS.
MAKE FOR NEUTRAL PORTS. UNDER SEALED-ORDERS. (Received August 5, noon.) SYDNEY, August 5. The Federal Ministers remain in continuous sitting. Cabinet is in close touch with the naval and military heads,' and frequent communications have been received from tho Imperial authorities. Tho coptcuts havo not been disclosed. It is learned that tho Gorman vessels which during the past few days hurriedly left Australian ports did so under sealed orders. It is rumoured that all of them are making for a general meeting place, probably to be collected by tho German Pacific Squadron in the vicinity of German New Guinea> and convoyed to the neutral port of Manila. It is stated that the officials at Newcastle luive been instructed not to allow tho German steamer ana: three sailers there at present to depart. This cutting off of Gorman trade means a, severe blow to trade with Sydney and other ports.
