INSURANCE CLAIMED.
A BOARDINGHOUSE FIRE. [PCI PftJUB ASfOCTATIOX.] NAPIER, March 18. Some months ago an addition at the rear of the London Boardinghouse, Port Ahuriri, was burned down, and this resulted in a civil action in the Supreme. Sourt. The owner sued the Norwich Insurance Society for £278 12s 6d, for the damage done to the structure. Judge Edwards delivered judgment this;afternoon, giving judgment to plaintiff for only £9 18s, the amount of damage done to the main building. His Honor held that the erection at the back was a separate building,' and it followed that as, there was only 'one building mentioned in the policy'the place burned was uninsured.

However, as the plaintiff _ honestly believed that his policy of insurance covered ; the outbuildings which were partially I destroyed by fire, the company had inJ structed him to. offer the plaintiff £234 4s, provided that he paid, the costs, ' and plaintiff had accepted this.
