At the meeting of the North Canterbury Education Board to-day the Normal and 'Technical Committee reported that it had received a report from Mr W. Brock, the chief inspector, stating that classes for ■pupilteachers and probationers in zoology and elementary hygiene could be arranged for on similar lines to last year's classes. Mr Brock further reported thajt in the case uncertificated teachers residing at a distance from Christchurcn arrangements could be made for tuition bv correspondence, and that he hoped to be able '.o arrange a winter school, in order that the practical work might be taken. The recommendations were approved, the hygiene and zoology classes to be advertised and uncertificated teachers informed by circular of the arrangement made 011 their behalf. The Board adopted the report.
