HOWLED DOWN.
MR FiSHER UNABLE TO GET HEARING. POLICE EJECT DISTURBERS, [Pbr Peess Association. 1 AYJiT/LTNGTON. March 13. The Hon J'\ M. B. Fisher held a meeting at St Peter's Hall to-night. The building; was packed with a crowd which, on the Minister's appearance, broke into disorder and would not allow him to speak. Mr Fisher then suggested that the meeting should nominate a speaker to, debate tlio Reform policy. M> Holland's name was called loudly and lit- mounted the platform. A section of the audience then howled Mr Holland down, mid after he had tried for some time to get a hearing, the police removed him. Meanwhile th'o police had been busy in tho body of the hall ejecting distuiiers., A' window- was broken and some of the hall.'.furniture was roughlv handled and tlie meeting broke up in disorder ivithonfc any address 'being delivered. Many women were auione the. audience and joined at times 4 -ho general clamour.
