The opening programme which has been arranged for the Canterbury golf championships, to bo licld on the Christchurch Club's links at Shirley, promises to be an attractive one. The meeting will commence _on April 11, and close on April 18, and in that time eleven important events will be decided. The following is tho programme: MEN'S EVENTS. Monday, April 13. 9.30 a.m.—Bogey Handicap. 1.30 p.m.—Foursome Bogey Handicap. Tuesday, April H. 9.30 a.m.—Jfednl Handicap. 1.30 p.m.-—Bogey Handicap. Saturday, April 18. 1.30 p.m.—Miicd Foursomes, for Islington Cup, LADIES' EVENTS. Thursday, April IG. 9.30 a.m.—First Round Ladies' Championship of Canterbury. 1.30 p.m.—Ladies' Bogey Handicap (IS holes). Friday, April 17. 9.30 a.m.—Second Round Ladies' Championship of Canterbury. 1.30 p.m.—Ladies' Bogey Handicap (tourbail), 18 holes. Saturday, April 18. 1.30 p.m.—Mixed Foursomes, for Islington Cup.
