A footpad snatched a lady's bag:, and two men attempted to capture him. One was fihot in the head, and the other in the stomach. The. bitter, showing conspicuous bravery, continued the chase, and succeeded in bringing his assailant to the ground. He held him until Assistance nr rived. Both the victims are in the hospital.
