NEW DRIVERS' UNION.
TROUBLE AT A MEETING. AGREEMENT ON OLD LINES. [Per Press Association.] WELLINGTON, November 14.A new drivers' union was formed last night. There was a large meeting, including men not drivers and others opposed to the formation of a new union. . ," They wer requested to leave, and after trying to induce the rest to do so too. thev went away. At the close of the meeting a conference was held .with the employers, and it was unanimously decided to register and enter into nn agreement on the terms of the present award and give preference to those who join the new union.
THE TRAM NiEN. WILL HOLD NO BALLOT. [Per Press Association.] WELLINGTON, November 14. The tramway men met last night. No official information is available, but it has been ascertained that the matter of the ballot has been abandoned.
