There were disorder and a wild exchange of compliments in the House over Mr M'Grath's suspension. Colonel Ryrie, after being stigmatised as a coward, declared that he was prepared to take six of the Opposition's biggest, best men to meet him outside. Asked to withdraw, Colonel Ryrie said that he might have been inviting the chosen six to a cup of tea.
