IN MURDER TRIAL.

Kieff was feverishly excited during the' closing scenes of the trial of Beilis:;. Hundreds'of peasants belonging to the Black Hand, drunk with vodka, insulted pa sers-by indiscriminately. The Court was crowded with fashionably dressed women, who had paid high prices for soats. Beiliss was guarded in Court by five soldiers with drawn swords. M. Maklakow, counsel for the defence, addressing the jury, said: "If you convict it will not only be Beiliss but Russian justico. Not a single fact has been proved against him. The Black Hand is attempting to prove the undesirability of allowing Jews to live among us." RIOTS FEARED. JEWS CLEARING OUT. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. (Received November 12, 0 a.m.) ST PETERSBURG, November 11. Mombers of Jewish families are leaving Kieff, fearing progroms. The police are using most rigorous methods to maintain order, and the Minister for the Interior has warned the Governor that he will hold him responsible for any acts of violence. UNDER SUSPICION. The jury, while acquitting Beiliss, found that Yashinsky was murdered at the Zaitsefi brickworks, belonging to the Jewish surgical hospital, and also that forty-seven wounds were inflicted and five cups of blood taken. These decisions are generally regarded as casting suspicion on the entire Jewish community, and are hold in many quarters to justify the ritual 'murder charge. During the jury's deliberations, a memorial service for Yashinsky was held in Saint Sofia's, in the vicinity of the Court. The bishop urged the congregation to confirm the Court's decision. Large crowds awaited the verdict, and the police dispersed the gathering, many agitators inciting the mobs to Pogroms. BANQUETED. (Received November 12, 10.50 a.m.) ST PETERSBURG, November 12. There was an attendance of 6000 per- . sons at the banquet at Kieff ti the prosecuting barristers in the Beiliss case. The guests included Yusehinsky's mother and stepfather and Bishop Niecdemus.
