A. AND P. ASSOCIATION.
BANKS PENINSULA
THE GROUND ARRANGEMENTS. A meeting of the Ground Committee of the Banks Peninsula, Agricultural and Pastoral Association was held on the Domain on Friday; present—Messrs W. H. Montgomery (president), T. Thompson, J. V. Chapman, W. Cossar and J. Johnson.
The positions of the various rings were considered, and it .was decided to •have the judging rings facing and running parallel to the main road, sufficient space being left for motor-care and the general public. Owing to the fact that there is an apiary at one end of the Domain, 6ome of the best of the ground will not be suitable for tho purpose of showing 6tock, which will therefore have to be kept at the farther end, which is the narrow portion of the Domain. The three rings for judging tho light horses, • oobs and ponies and harness horses will face the main road, and the judging ring for draught horses will be placed near the Council Chambers. The produce tent will be erected between the main gate and the library, runuing parallel to the main road, which will be convenient for exhibitors, as they will not have to carry their exhibits any distance to the tent. The flower tent will be erected just behind the library, and this season there will be another small tent in which exhibitors will be able to arrange their exhibits without overcrowding tho main tent. The Association will also provide vases for the exhibits. There will be two exhibition displays, one each from Messrs Nairn and Son and Waihora Park. The cattle, sheep and pigs will be exhibited in Messrs Matson's yards, which will be connected by a bridge for the occasion.
