MEETINGS OF SOCIETIES.
The anniversary social of the Linwood Rechabite Tent was held in the Ridgely Hall, _ Armagh Street, on Thursday evening. Brother R. H. Taylor, District Chief Ruler of the Order, presided, and presented Brothers C. H. Read and S. Robinson with Past Chief Ruler collars in recognition of their services as officers of_ the tent. A pianoforte solo was contributed by Miss V. Haigh, violin solos by Mr E. H. Down, a euphonium solo by Mr A. J. Dwight; a pianoforte duet by Misses V. Ilaigh and I. Leaver, recitations by Misses M. Sweney, Chamberlain, E. Daly and I. Leaver, and ia song by Mr A. J. Nicholas. During the evening the Mayor (Mr H. Holland), who was present at the opening of the tent four years ago, gave a brief account of the progress of the branch, stating that the present membership was seventy-one, with a juvenile section of fifty-three.
