RECORD PRICES.-. DO^ T CA?TFR SALES. "Times." —Sydney "Sun" Special Cables. (Received September 11, 10 a.m.) LONDON. September 10. Record prices were realised nt tho Doncaster yearling sales to-dnv. The Desmond Palotta filly was so'd for 2600 guineas, and is to go to Russia. A fillv by Sundridge— Americus Givl brought l700gs; ft filly by Sana Souci—Goldmine, 1650^3; and the Santoi—Santamnura colt lGMsrs.

A colt by Desmond —Silver Pheasant brought 6100 guineas, which is a record at the Doncaster sales. A co t by Symington Altair was so'd for 4300 guineas, and the colt by Roi Herode—Magnitude realised 4000 guineas. Ninety-one lots were disposed of, and averaged nearly six hundred guineas apiece.

Joe"s b c White Magic, by Sundridge—La Vierge • . . 2 Captain J. H. Greer's b c Seremond, by Des ' Olid— Serenata • 3 Louvois led for over half the journey, but "was beaten half a mile from home, and finished last. White Magic took up the running and led for some distance. Night Hawk then challenged, and eventually won easily by two lengths. Time —3min 3 3-seec. A record for the race.

The winner was a rank outsider, and his owner did not even troub'.o to go to Doncaster to witness tho event. Louvois gave Night l Hawk a fifteen pounds beating in the Derby.

Tlie ex-New Zoa'and horseman, Ronald Cameron will probably pilot The Native in his cross-country engagements in Australia during the next few months. Private advice from Sydney states that the jockeys A. Oliver and F. D. Jones arrived in Sydney from Wellington last week. Jones did not remain in Sydnev as he left on Thursday night for Me 1 bourne, presumably to rido Tvmpan, which is engaged in the Ascot Thousand this month. Syd. Beid who is reported to have left Australia, by tho Manuka on Friday last, did not make the trip, and he came south yesterday for Ashburton, where he has engagements to-day.
