Mr Lloyd George in tho course of a controversy said that Lord Wolmer and his family had been peculiarly offensive in negotiating huge contracts/vith tho Government when in office, and in common decency should repudiate such transactions. If they wanted to take a high line respecting ministerial investments, Lord Wolmer nnd his fellow Cecils should begin their lessons at home, and ho could furnish them with instances for instruction. Mr Lloyd George in a further reply to Lord Wolmer describe;-; tho latter tis " a person who through blind malignity blunders into a charge ho knows to be untrue, and instead of apologising tries to sneak out by blaming the reporters."
