A deputation from tho Australian Natives' Association asked Mr Glynn to submit to tho Imperial Government a proposal to open negotiations with tho French Government for the cession of the control of New Caledonia to Australia in exchange for British territory in somo other part of the world. Mr Glvnn undertook to submit the proposal to the Cabinet and if opportunity arose, to\ the British Government.
