'BERLIN, September 10. Airship LI, stationed at Cuxhaven, was. participating in the naval manoeuvres, and engaged in a scouting flight. She was struck suddenly amidships by a terrible gale. Thirteen persons were drowned,, including Captains Metzine (Commander of .the Naval Airship Division) and Hanne (airship Silot); also several members or the aval Commission, supervising airship trials. LI was an hour on the surface before sinking. She buckled in the middle. The darkness and roughness of the sea impeded rescuers. News of the disaster was telephoned to the Kaiser at Salzbruenn, and he was greatly distressed. '

AEROPLANE FLIGHTS BY TIMETABLE. - PARIS, September 10. Aeroplane squadrons are concentrating preparatory to the army manoeuvres Six aeroplanes, followed by road by repair motor cars, flew five hundred miles according to time-table.

DEATH JN THE AIRBERLIN, September 10. . Dr Rings, circling Johannisthal at a height of nine hundred feet, died from hearty failure. His hands remained grasping the wheel, and tho monoplane continued to steadily ascend. A gust changed its position, throwing deceased's weight over the wheel, and imparting to the machine a vertical position. It fell ten minutes after Ring's death, his hands still clasping tho wheel.
