WHEN GREEK MEETS GREEK.
Those of our readers who chortled over tho article in our Saturday's issue giving Mr Dooley's opinion of tho tactics of Kaiser .William, will bo doubly amused when thoy read the cablegram to-day about tho furoro that has been caused in Paris by "Meinself and Got'a " declaration that tho victories of the Greok armies in tho Balkan embroglio was largely duo to Gorman drillsergcantry, Tho Parisians are persuaded that the superior slaughtering capacity of tho Greeks was largely duo to the training they got from General Eydoux arid Ids Frenchman, and they predict tnat Eydoux will scratch for all engagements and won't go back to Greece. It is also said that when King Constantino arrives on French soil he •mW bo handed what the American oolloquialists term tho " icy mit," Which all goes to show (in the lauguago of Mr Dooley) that Kaiser William is acting up to his part of tho " happy jo 1 1" yerV who's "a patron of spoort but not a spoort" who has " a season ticket to all the matches but never puts on tho gloves." The German Emperor is still leading " the calm and prosperous life of a dolicatessen dealer " engaged in his favourite pastime of cooling the other fellows on. Of course tho other fellows aro a pretty childish lot, but that is another consideration.
