Tho death is announced of Mr Edwin Annes Beaumont, formerly a favourite operatic tenor, aged seventy-two years. (The lato Mr Amies Beaumont was an English operatic tenor, a brother to William Beaumont, who was with J. C. Williamson's comic opera companies for many years. Mr Amies Beaumont came to Australia many years ago, and visited the dominion with Lester's Grand Opera Company in the sixties, and later was with the Caradini Concert Party. Ho was well known in Australia, and Now Zealand in many companies, being at one stage with the Montague-Turner Company. Recently in Australia he was accorded a benefit performance. Ho was then in failing health and in straitened circumstances.)
