In Lisbon sis Royalists have been sentenced to two years' imprisonment each. Eight were acquitted on charges of conspiracy.
The Prime Minister, in the Chamber, accused the Royalists of using the Duchess of Bedford ;t<s a puppet in the campaign which heralded a further attempt at the restoration of the monarchy. He declared that the next invasion by Royalist bands would bo repressed mercilessly.
