At the back Flashwood ana Wallet were well clear of tho field, but Wallet stopped at tho entrance to the straight, and Flashwood won easily by f three lengths from Persuader, who boat Royal Belli* y,** bare head. Starting on tho last lap these two wore together,. nnd they ran in company to the home turn, whore Ladv Sybil drew away and won easily by ten lengths. Black Link beating Clingschikl by a similar margin, with Lord Ashton and Armamenter next. First Child_ fell, after going seven furlongs. Time —3min 53scc. KING GEORGE HANDICAP (in harness). Harold Rothschild went off smartly, and at the end of Tialf a milo ho was two lengths clear of Maelstrom, -with Albert H. and Prince Wilkin close up. These four went right away from the field in tho next half-milo, but Prince Wilkin then lost his place. Harold Rothschild continued to show the way to the straight, where Albert 11. parsed Maelstrom, but he had no chance with Harold Rothschild, who won by two lengths, Albert H. beating Maelstrom by three lengths. Albertorioup was forty yarcU away fourth, with tho others strung out. Time—smin 2sec.

Bellwind showed the way for half a mile, when Sweet Child and Tho Next went on three lengths clear of Bellwind, with Chieftiny _ and Robert Emmett next. At tho end of six furlongs Chieftiny and The Next v/ero in charge, but starting on the last lap Chieftiny had lost his place, The Next Roincr on woll clear of Sweet Child and Robert Emmett, with Bellwind, Chieftiny and Solo handy, followed by Ripon Child There was no change In the order till two furlongs from home, where Chieftiny moved up fast, and, catching The Next a few strides from* the post, he won by half a length. Robert Emmett was twelve lengths away, followed by Bellwind, Solo and Sweet Child. Time—--smin lsec. To Kuiti led to tho straight, but, after, a good finish, Muricata won by a length and a half Te Kuiti beating Clive by a length, with Master Raymond a length further back. Time —omin 2sec.
