In Chicago, four armed masked robbers boarded a Thirteenth Avenue car in broad daylight and robbed the passengers of several hundred pounds in money and jewellery. The robbers escaped before the police appeared. A series of twenty hold-ups have occurred in the city in the past fortnight, and the citizens are terrorised. 1
