In an aeroplane bomb-dropping competition at ivEoiirmelon, France, M. Gaubert, a Frenchman, and Lieutenant Scott (United States) tied in dropping eight out of fifteen bombs on the target from a height of 900 metres. A HIGH ALTITUDE. LONDON, August 12. De Haviland, in an Army biplane, at Salisbury Plain, took a passenger up 9500 ft, remaining at that altitude for three hours.
