The Rangiora County Council has decided to obtain a loan lor tho purchase of a traction engine and road roller combined, and three trucks, and also to meet the cost of the erection of new offices and clerk's dwelling, oil tho site occupied by the old Road Board olßco at Rangiora. The building it is proposed to erect will be a handsome edifice of brick with stone facings, and is cfitn v L?.ted to cost about £2OOO. The traction engine will be used for driving tiie Council's stone crusher and for drawing the broken metal to parts of tho county where it is required, besides doing duty as a road roller.
