Dhttnkenness.—A fust offender, for helpless drunkenness, was ordered to pay medical expenses, in default seven days' imprisonment, and another, who had been in chargo of a horse and cab, was fined 20s, in default seven days' imprisonment. Theft of Overcoats. Michael M'Cann was charged with the theft of an overcoat valued at £2 10s, and Arthur Gorham, with two aliases, was charged with the theft'of an overcoat valued at £1 17s 6d, the property of George William Pliinsoll. M'Cann was remanded till May 11, and Gorham, who elected to be dealt with summarily, was sentenced to three montlis' imprisonment witli hard labour. Matxtkn-ance.—Thomas George Ealam was charged with having the intention of leaving New Zealand without providing for his wife and child. His wife stated that she had received no support from her husband for two years. Accused said he " had not felt inclined to support his wife," who had. been living with his mother. Tho Magistrate delivered a scathing robuk© to the defendant and ordered him to contr'ibiiio at the rate of £1 a week to.their support, and to find security in £lO9 that he would comply with the order, ;n default six months' imprison m.mi fc. White, Limited (Mr Bain), v. C. Genet, jun., £4 14s 6d; Berry and Co. (Mr Flesher) v. D. O'Leary, £lO 2s 7d; Everybody's Limited (Mr Leathern) v. M. Mitchell, £2 18s sd; R. B. Owen (Mr Herman) v. W. H. Booth, £3 3s 6d.—ln James O'Malley (Mr Cassidy) v. Annie M'Grath, a claim for possession of premises, possession wajs ordered to be given within fourteen days. Judgment Dedtohs. —Grant Bros. (Mr Cuningham) claimed from William Henry Woodham £1 14s on a judgment obtained on February 1, 1912. Debtor was examined, and no order was made. —J. Barritt (Mr Leathern) claimed £l3 3s from O. Mills on a judgment obtained on April 21, 1911. After examining the debtor the Magistrate refused to mako an order.—George and Iversley (Mr Flesher) claimed froSfo S. Parrington £l3 3s 8d on a judgment obtained on August 1, 1911. Tho debtor did not appear and was ordered to pay the amount forthwith, in default fourteen days' imprisonment.—R. 0. Cookson was ordered to pay F. D". Kesteven (Mr Leathern) £29 15s forthwith, in default one month's imprisonment.—No order was made "in the caso of Annie Ford (Mr Cuningham) v. C. •H. Young, a claim for £4 ICte on a judgment summons.—ln tho case of F. I). Kesteven (Mr Leathern) v. R. Gallagher, a claim, for £22 17s, debtor wag examined and no order was made.
