The Rugby League has adopted a definition of the "amateur" as one. who receives only necessary and actual bona lido expenses. ' It was arranged that a New Zealand team should play New South. Wales at Sydney on June 22 and 24, and after to visit Queensland on July 13. A anecial general meeting of the Canterbury Rugby Union ha? been called for Tuesclay evening next at tho Chamber of Commerco Hall, to consider proposed alterations to the rules of play.
