MAIL NOTICES.

Letter mails close for the following places as tinder, subject to the necessary alterations:— Mails per express to Dunedin and South close daily at 7 a.m. and 11 a.m.; lato fee, i.e., letters bearing Id additional stamp, 11.15 a.m. ; also mail van up to 8 a.m. and guard' 3 van 11.55 a.m. train. Books and newspapers, 7 a.m. and 10.30 a.m. THURSDAY, MAY 2. For Australian States, etc. (due Sydney May 7), India, China, Ceylon, .Hong Kong Straits Settlements, South Africa, etc., also Continent of Europe and United Kingdom, via Brindisi (due London June 9), per s.s. Maori, to connect with Moeraki, at 6.15 p.m.; ( late fee letters, 6.45 p.m.; guard's van, 7.40 p.m. train. Money orders 4 p.m., registered articles and parcels 4.45 p.m., books and newspapers 5.45 p.m. For Northern Ports, per Moeraki, at 3 p.m.; late fee letters, 3.15 p,m.; guard's van, 4 p.ni. train. Also per Maori, at 6.15 p.m.; late tee letters, 6.45 p.m.; guard's van, 7.40 p.m. train. FRIDAY, MAY 3. For Dunedin, per Motwia, at 11 a.m.; late fee letters, 11.15 a.m.; guard's van, 12.10 p.m. train. For Northern Ports, also Now South Wales and Queensland (due Sydney May, 10), per Mararoa, to connect with Maheno, at 4.15 p.m.; lato feo letters, 4.80 p.m.; guard's van, 5.25 p.m. train. SATURDAY, MAY 4. For Australian States, etc. (due Melbourne May 11), and South Africa, per express, to connect wifh Moano, at 11 a.m.; late fee letters, 11.15 a.m.; guard's van, 11.55 a.m. train. Mails from the United Kingdom despatched from London on Maroh Q9, via Brindisi, are due in Christchtircli on May 7, as follows: Letters 8 a.m., via Auckland; newspapers 5.30 ]j,m.. via Bluff. Mails for the United Kingdom despatched from Christchurch on March 21, via Brindisi, arrived in London on April 26, due date. Mails for United Kingdom, Australian States, etc., per Moeraki, close at Wellington on May 3, at 3.30 p.m. Mails that left London on April 3. and Vancouver on April 17, aro due in Christchurch on May 9. l'he next, mail for the United States and Canada will leave Christchurch on May 8, via Vanccmver.
