The main building was destroyed, but the gas producing plant was not much damaged. The origin, of the fire and the insurances on the buildings are not litiown. . WELLINGTON. May 1. Rand wick Lodge, near Hutt Park, the well-known training quarters, was destroyed by fire last night. It contained ten rooms and twenty-three horse boxes. The place, ■ which was owned by Mr W. C. Watson, was unoccupied at the time.
