I"Prr Prt.Sl Abbooutionj] NEW PLYMOUTH, May 1. A fire occurred in the Parapara." Iron Company's i works, Moturoa, at two o'clock this morning. The main building was destroyed, but the gas producing plant was not much damaged. The origin, of the fire and the insurances on the buildings are not litiown. . WELLINGTON. May 1. Rand wick Lodge, near Hutt Park, the well-known training quarters, was destroyed by fire last night. It contained ten rooms and twenty-three horse boxes. The place, ■ which was owned by Mr W. C. Watson, was unoccupied at the time.
