Thhough Drink.—Kenneth M'Leod pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct whilst drunk. The accused, who had a bad record, _wa,s fined 20s, iu deiault seven days imprisonment. Remanded.—Thomas Everett Reece was remanded for sentence for a week on a charge that he was an idle and disorderly person having insufficient lawful means of support. Bail was not asked for. Alleged Attempted Suicide.—William Henry Williams pleaded not guilty to a charge of having attempted to commit suicide ? on April 14, at Sydenham, by drinking lysol. He was remanded to appear on Saturday. Alleged Fobgkry.—William Laurie Cooper, a young man, was remanded to appear on Thursday on two charges of having forged and. % uttered cheques, alleged to nave been signed by Hugh Black, the amounts obtained being £4 10s and £7 10s respectively. Bail was not asked for. Judgment by Default.—ln each of the following cases judgment with costs was entered for the plaintiff by default:—Massev Harris Company, Litnited (Mr Wright) v. Mitchell, £3 3s. Judgment Summons Cases.—ln the case of G. L. Ostler (Mr Rowe) v. A. E. Smitlier claim under a judgment summons for £3 13s the defendant appeared and stated that he earned £2 10s a week. He was married and had one child. The Magistrate made an order that the amount should be paid at the rate of 2s 6d a week in default three days' imprisonment. The defendant was also ordered to pay L. W. Balkind (Mr Goodman), the sum of £1 15s 6d by weekly instalments of l 2s 6d, the default being fixed at twenty-four hours' imprisonment.—D. Rohayne was ordered to pay the Atlas Confectionery Company (Mr Rowe) the sum of £l6 17s 4d forthwith in default fourteen days' imprisonment.
