FIRES.
* A six-roomed dwelling-house situated in Jackson's Road, Fendalton. owned and occupied by Mr G. Howe, was completely destroyed by firo between 2 and 3 a.m. to-day. The occupants retired to rest last night, leaving everything apparently safe, but were awakened about 2 o'clock, and had bnrelv suffi"ient time to save themselves ancl a feuhousehold goods and articles of wearing apparel before the house was completely enveloped in flames.
