A man. named Millstein and his wife, restaurant-keepers, wero found stabbed and battered with a poker in Hanbury Street, Spitalfieids. It is believed thao tho house- was used, for laro gambling. The murderers put a feather-bed, saturated with paraffin, above the bodies, and fired the house. PANIC AT A PICTURE SHOW. During nn entertainment in the east end of Berlin, a kinematograph ignited, and t-ho operator's hands wero burned. His cries of pain caused a panic among the audience, who rushed to the exits. Two children wero killed and many persons wero seriously injured. P AUPEHS' POISONED. A Berlin message says that a party of paupers at a municipal shelter have been poisoned, and already fifteen are dead. Tlio cause is unknown. (Received December 28, 12 noon.) DIED OF WOUNDS. LONDON, December 27. Terence Barclay, the son of a banker, died from the effect of wounds inflicted by a pet lion at Norwich. AN ARREST. At Moncsia, Pennsylvania, the police arrested a stranger carrying a suitcase filled with dynamite. The man refused to disclose his identity. Another suit-case filled with dynamite was found at Rochester, Pennsylvania. PRINCE EDWARD ISLAND ELECTIONS. The Conservatives are certain of victory in the Prince Edward Island elections in January. They have secured six seats unopposed.
