The King and Queen and other Roynlties attended the dedication of King Edward's memorial window, representing "The Lord Reigning in Glory," at Sandringham Church. It was subscribed for by royalties and the residents and workers on the Sandringham Estate. The Countess of Lonsdale opened the King Edward memorial wing of Cumberland Infirmary, Carlisle, costing £30,006. An anonymous American donor presented a massive silver altar reredos to the Sandringham memorial to King Edward.
