The Archbishop of Canterbury, in St Mary's Cathedral, Edinburgh, commented on tho present-day efforts after Christian unity, efforts that were struggling spontaneously and independently into actual life in centres so far apart as Melbourne, Toronto, Shanghai, New York and Edinburgh. They began to see the dawning of tho day when the effort Would finally bo to emphasise tilings on which Christians agreed. It was a distinct change towards an understanding with God, but there must be no attempt to rush what could only come by growth.
