At the Church Congress Loxd Barnard, chairman of the Finance Committee, advocated the introduction into Britain of a scheme popular in Canada and the United States, by which every parishioner assisted by regular contributions, the smallest of which was a half-penny weekly. The recommendation • was generally approved. Canon Osborii detailed the working of the Diocesan Fund at Brisbane.
