Owing to a regrettable misconception of the purport of t.hr motion 1o remove the registered office of the eompan.y to New Zealand, in order to save ' New Zealand shareholders from uaying double income tax. tho committee, did r.ot gc-t the support in England which its efforts should liavp obtained. However, Mr A. E. G. I'hcdes. a New Zealander, had been appointed an extra member of the Board. The committee felt that tho appointment would meet with approval and would enable the views of shareholders in tlie dominion to be expressed at the Board itself. The committee thanked all shareholders who had sent contributiors to tho lighting fund. A small balance in hand would be. kept: for use if further action should be needed.
