Tlie "Pall Mall Gazette" ha's high authority for stating that the Director of Naval Construction contemplates the abandonment of the Dreadnought type of warship, but the new type is kept a close secret. It is believed that it approximates to the Lord Nelson, 17,000 tons, and is suitable for shallow water. The primary armament will be six fifteen-inch guns, and an antitorpedo armament. Many experts opposed to putting all the eggs into one basket.
