TN LIQUIDATION. United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright. (Received June 9, 10.30 a.m.) LONDON, Jane 3. An official statement sets out that, owing to the depreciation of securities, the Birkbeek Bank directors have lodged a winding up petition. They estimate the deficiency at £375,000, against which they hold guarantees of £300,000, and anticipate that the creditors will receive immediately 10s in the pound; but Mr Plender, the auditor, estimates the deficiency at £775,000.
