Undertakings to effect repairs or alterations to the satisfaction of the committee, after the coming local option poll, Avere given in the cases of the following hotels:-Occidental. Royal George, Sandridgo, Star and Garter and Imperial. The renewal of the license of the Empire Hotel, C. Campbell (Mr Harris). Avas adjourned for three months. The chairman of the committee said that there was a complaint against the hotel, and Avhile it was before it the committee would not grant a renewal to the present licensee. Mr Harris said that the present licensee's least l would expire in threo •months. Eleven wholesale licenses were renewed. The committee then adjourned.
